New Years is upon us. It has managed to sneak into our lives with all the stealth of a ninja and is once again rearing a rather ugly head. Like most people, I normally make a resolution that I then forget to keep to three days later. I have made them to exercise more (a fairly common one, I suppose), spend less (another common one) and do more with my time in Korea. I have managed to fail at these quite spectacularly. So, on this New Years Day, I present my list for 2015. Enjoy!
New Year’s Resolution One: Write On This Blog Five Times A Week
This, I have already been doing for the last month or so. But I want to make this blog a more regular thing, whether I have an interesting article on some aspects of Korean life or a rather dull one about what happened at school that day. I planned to blog so much when I first came here and until now, haven’t really done so. This will change in 2015. Watch this exciting space.
New Year’s Resolution Two: Keep On Practicing Art
Now, my art isn’t great. I have been taking an art class with Marta and I am (slowly) getting better. But recently, I have been sketching in my spare time too. Today, for example, I drew a picture of a dwarf for D&D. It is not amazing but I am proud of the progress I have made. I hope I make just a much during 2015.
New Year’s Resolution Three: Take More Photographs
As some of you will know, I treated myself to my first “proper” camera this year. I got a Nikon DSLR (Check my about me for the exact model) and I have used it…a reasonable amount. But I would like to use it more. Let 2015 be the year of trips and photographs!
New Year’s Resolution Four: Set A Definite Plan For The Next 12 Months
Now, this year ended on a rather bitter note – EPIK was being cut down as a programme and, thus, people would be losing their jobs. Though I think mine is safe, I am not sure as of yet. And, to be honest, I think I am reaching a point in my life where I want to move on from Korea during 2016. I am not sure where or when, exactly, but I would like to know by the end of the year.
Do you have any resolutions? Let me know in the comments!
